A quote from Theodore Dreiser's novel The "Genius" is very apt here: "He had no great talent for interpretation at this time, only an intense sense of beauty." I'm saying that we can appreciate "The Movie" in the same way we might appreciate a beautiful sunset.<br />http://postmoderndeconstructionmadhouse.blogspot.com/2013/09/remarks-on-don-delillo-at-ala.html#.UyN3Gz9dXxAAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12280800909689675518noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4320628892565328183.post-27054050545964656332014-04-21T18:36:02.033-07:002014-04-21T18:36:02.033-07:00He kneels to comply. The narrative logic of this is a little unclear to me, but be that as it may, I would still maintain that the chapter - preface, prologue - is not really meant to contribute to the narrative at all.<br />http://postmoderndeconstructionmadhouse.blogspot.com/2013/09/remarks-on-don-delillo-at-ala.html#.U03OblVi5nNAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12280800909689675518noreply@blogger.com
